not much news beyond work...

i worked another double yesterday, and i am in for one today. here are some funny things that have been going on:

funny thing #1: at lunch yesterday, i waited on four ladies. three of them consisted of two sisters and their mother, the fourth was a high schol friend of one of the sisters. she was in town for a reunion. they laughed a lot, and we got along well. at the end of the meal, one of the sisters asked me, "do you have a girlfriend?" when i said that i didn't, she pointed to her sister and said, "well, her daughter is going to be in town next month, and she is going to bring her in to meet you." what do you say to that? yeah, i didn't know either.

funny thing #2: working with my brother... last night, we were in sections far away from each other, but we still managed to laugh and talk about the time i punched him in the face for throwing nerf balls at a friend. don't ask. we watched a movie at his new apartment last night. i only drifted off to sleep once. i am so proud.

funny thing #3: more high school friends!! last night, i saw a guy who played offensive line with me. ahh, the football memories. he has left westpoint due to multiple hip injuries. he is finishing school here, and then going to seminary. he is as surprised as i am that he is going to be a pastor.

funny thing #4: why can't i remember that there is more to love than sex? i see bouncy boobs or a nice booty, and i forget that i want something more and that making out, or making whoopee... whatever, is so very temporary. i don't know how my brother has withstood the temptations for so long, working here. it is nice to have him around. many times, i forget that i am the big brother because he seems to be the one with the wisdom and the guidance. good thing.

i guess those are all of the funny things. i am wondering what the deal is with the comments. my friends who use the same provider are also having problems. it should clear up in a day or two, and then, i expect massive truckloads of comments, okay? good.
